  1. Extended Keys 
  2. This panel gives your Macintosh some keys that are normally only available on extended keyboards.

  4. When the Extended Keys panel is on, the keyboard can emulate extended keyboard keys. When you turn on Extended Keys the Scrolling Keys are enabled. Click the box next to Enable Funtion Keys to turn on that function.
